Gotcha

Gotcha! | Career Angles

Behavior on social media has trained people to believe that playing “gotcha games” is a good thing to do. I don’t intend to talk about politics here. I’m going to look at the behavior and how it translates into the workplace.

After all, the old saying that you can disagree without being disagreeable, too often, needs to be said in the workplace.

The edge with which you disagree appear to be bullying.

Whether you are male or female, attempting to intimidate someone in the workplace is a bad career move.

Having a private conversation with someone who may have made a mistake or maybe ill-informed is a kind thing to do and will help them and help you relationship with them.

By all means, tell them what they are not seeing that you say but also be prepared for the same in return.

It may help both of you.
