Making Adjustments | Career Angles

It’s been said many times that if you wait too long to adjust you’re finished.

Part of the brilliance of Bill Belichick and the New England Patriots is that while most teams wait until halftime to make adjustments, they notice things during the game and change them right there.

“It’s too late if you wait until halftime. You may miss the opportunity,” is the thinking.

At work, if you wait until everyone’s on board that there’s a problem, it may be too late to make an adjustment.

You need to notice what’s working and what isn’t working from your plan and make spontaneous corrections immediately, rather than waiting.

It may be too late if you wait because you may run halftime to make the adjustment get to where you need to.

Like in football, the clock eventually runs out and one team loses.
