You have probably heard about how you can define a person’s character when no one is looking. But let’s take a slightly different tack.
I listened to a podcast interview Tim Ferris did with LeBron James and his trainer, Mike Mancias (the interview is available on Apple Podcasts and other platforms). We all know what a great athlete James is but few us appreciate the effort he makes to take care of himself.
We all assume he practices on the court but we forget about all the work he does off the court to eat a particular way, hire people to support his efforts, rest and recover from a game . . . it goes on and on.
I don’t know how it is for you, but when you listen to the interview, you may realize what minimal effort goes into your efforts once you leave work.
Champions consistently put in the effort to elevate and maintain their position. How can you step up your game once you leave work?
